Karimbankuth is a stunning waterfall in Idukki Block. It is located near Karimban, around 7 km
from Cheruthoni on Thoprankudy route. The fall got its name from this nearby village Karimban.
In some parts of the state, 'kuth' refers waterfall. The water cascades down from a height of around 130 ft and is divided into two with a rock, which creates an enchanting effect in the scenic surroundings. The water after crushing at the rock turns mists, which spread the area just as some fast-moving fog covers an entire valley. Karimban can be reached by taxis or buses from Cheruthoni en-route Thoprankudy. Buses, which ply from Ernakulam on the Karimban route, are also available. A 2 km trek from Karimban through green terrain leads to the waterfall. An isolated place. The location specified here isn't correct. The waterfalls are scenic. There is a little bit of trek to reach there. The path to get to the bottom of the waterfall is slippery and dangerous. We can take a bath and even swim. Altogether it's a nice place which is worth a visit. This is one of the best waterfalls which we have not yet exploited by humans. We spent ample time here and the water was really fresh. There were very few people when we went there. So we were able to enjoy it to the fullest.
